SNOWDONIA
Snowdonia (Eryri in Welsh, meaning place of eagles) is a hauntingly beautiful part of Wales, and its National Park is the second largest in England and Wales. Our holiday cottage, Bryn-y-Gwnt is located in Betws-y-Coed, a beautiful village in the heart of the National Park.
Amongst its attractions are the Swallow Falls, Snowdon, the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the Ffestiniog Mountain Railway, the Marrin Trail, the Faerie Glenn, the National Slate Museum, Electric Mountain, King Arthur's Labyrinth, many local castles, numerous forest and lakeside walks, and the Sygun Copper Mine. There are also many Stona Age and Bronze Age burial chambers and cairns.
