The village of Betws-y-Coed is the most popular of North Wales' inland resorts. The village lies in an attractive wooded valley within the Snowdonia National Park and is the centre of numerous outdoor activities. There is a good range of shops and restaurants. Betws-y-Coed lies at the confluence of the Rivers Conwy, Llugwy, Lledr and Machno. Each of its rivers contain myriads of waterfalls and cascades and are well known because of the beautiful valleys through which they run. The Faerie Glen is exquisitely beautiful, as are the Swallow Falls.
