Bryn Cader Faner is a cairn circle and one of the most appealing in Great Britain, notwithstanding extensive damage top the stones by treasure hunters and soldiers during World War II. Only fifteen of the original 30 stones remain, each about 6 foot tall. The all lean outward in such a way that the circle appears as as crown of thorns, when viewed from a distance.
To access the circle a walk of 7km along a track and trail is required, some it it through wet and boggy terrain.
