The Faerie Glen is an exquisitely enchanting gorge on the River Conwy on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed. The scenery is hauntingly beautiful. The gorge begins just a short distance from Beaver Bridge, on the village edge. At this point the River Conwy is chanelled into a narrow ravine. Each side is wooded and there are cascades, waterfalls and rock pools. The rocky sides to the ravine are carpeted in a rich mixture of woodland herbage.
The Faerie Glen draws visitors from all over the country, and artists are often seen there, capturing the scenery with their paint brushes. The glen is accessed by a path from Fairy Glen Hotel beside the A470.
