The Cave of the Young Men of Snowdon is said to be the cavern to which the Knights of the Round Table who survived the Battle of Camlann retired; and they sleep their still.
The battle is said to have taken place in the Cwm-y-Llan, and Arthur was actually shot down in the Bwlch-y-Saethau or "Pass of Arrows" near where the knights' cave stands. The King was laid to rest under Carnedd Arthur (Arthur's Cairn) while Bedwyr returned Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake at Llyn Llydaw.
