This bird reserve covers an area of 9.5 kilometeres along the north Gwynedd coast, betweeen Bangor and Llanfairfechan. The Reserve include a mixture of shoreline habitats and 2,500 hectares of intertidal sand and mud flats, which are exposed at low tide. This area has been designated as an SSSI and is managed by Gwynedd Council.
